Complete Overhaul on an MAN 7L48/60 Cylinder Heads

Following the MAN maintenance schedule a set of cylinder liner was received in our workshop for complete inspection. The service required reconditioning of inlet and exhaust valve seat ring, grinding of seal face on cylinder liner and cylinder head

Emergency Service Call on Woodward PGA58 governor

Vessel reported a critical problem controlling the engine speed.  The vessel was not able to cross the Panama Canal because of this mal functioning.  DES was called to assist Our Governor Senior Engineer boarded the vessel within 2 hours of being notified and performed several diagnostic test.

Inspection and Repair of MAN TCA 66/20047

Severe damage to this turbocharger was caused by a fault in the lubrication system after a black out.  The service required balancing as well as cleaning of the rotor, nozzle ring and shroud ring. The turbocharger was dismounted, transported to our shop and all work was performed at our workshop.
